You have probably seen these giant mobile structures, powered by wind they walk on beaches. They're called Strandbeests, designed and I'd go so far as to say perfected by Theo Jansen. But have you seen the toy version? A friend recently ordered a couple of them and I had my doubts. How could the smaller toy versions possibly compare? Could they be even slightly as awesome, even in their own tiny incarnations? And....they are...very awesome. The walking is fluid and requires hardly any wind input. The toy is a bit spendy but very unique and I'd say worth the price. Also, I usually don't think much about packaging, but the box it comes in is about the size of that for a typical board game, and the design is clean with really nice photos.
